Hope you can help me, for the moment I will read uniflash for start to learn how I flash.

By the way, I know little asm (nasm), I guess I will like to start geting some "grasp" (dont know if is the correct word) in BIOS programming, can you redirect me to some sources for start on? :).

Have a nice day or night.

Bios is recent enough to support HDD up to 128GB - make sure the 32GB capacity limitation jumper on your HDD is not limiting your drive to 32GB !

The configurations that have the HD are 4, I already have tested them and I select the 32bit clip, because was the only way.

Anyway, right in this moment I hve rebooted and tested the 4 diferent configurations only for by master:

For 16 heads and 15 heads it show Head = Cyln = WPcom = Sec = Pio = 0, LBA = Blk = mode off 32bit mode On, and then hang, mean that dosent show the size, also the clock is stoped, no entry from the Kb, a cut of power is necsary.

The third configuration tested is "AutoSpin disable" whit this configuration, there is no hang, but the fields are still 0 and there is no size of the disck.

With the fourth configuration for master (32 Clip) it show the following:

Size = 33822 Cyln =65531 head = 16 WPcom = 0 Sec = 63 LBA= On BLK = On Pio = 4 32Bit = On

Then the only configuration that work is 32 Gb Clip.... :(

In this "test" I have also taked notes about the HD....

Code: Select all

Hitachi Deskstar www.hgst.com
Model: HDS722(5 or S)80VLAT20 ATA/IDE
Capacity:82.3Gb
P/N: 09K0462
LBA: 160,836,480 Sectors

RPM: 7200RPM
MLC: H71474
CHS: 16383/16/63
Also have tested without pins.. lol, and it hangs too....

The only configuration of the 4 that work is with the Clip.

Any idea?
I have visited that page before, but havent finded the M800, have finded M810 and others (above I guess), but no M800, or pheraphs I havent searched well??

Also try The PCChips Lottery website.

Check out the Start your journey here if you DO KNOW which board you own! page and the The PCChips Lottery BBS page for more help.

The M800LMR is listed there.

But I doubt that M800LMR or the other one is the same than M800, a friend of mine as sayed my that this board was the first mother board for for Athlon ever existed pheraphs is true, but I will not for LMR or MR, because like the test say, is only a M800 ;). I will ask for technical support at pcchips questioning about the no listed M800 :). Also I will post in the other board, thx.

What about programming my self ??? :D... if I dont find the BIOS I guess I should....

The BIOS tag you posted is IDENTICAL to the one of the M800LMR of the SAME release date as yours... I've just checked.
I will ask for technical support at pcchips

It seems you already have the latest Bios .

Try this :
Enter parameters manually - Use C/H/S 16383/16/63 and enable LBA and 32Bit .
Make sure the 80wire IDE cable is connected in the way it should be connected : Blue end to mainboard and black end to Master drive

I have tryed and I have a problem:

I set the space or mode to user, then when I press tabulator it jump directly to the field of LBA it dosent let me touch Size Cyln Head WPcom or Sec they all are jumped with the first tab... from user field difertly to LBA :S, only let me edit LBA Blk PIO and 32Bit fields.

By the way, about the ide cable, I have out it time a go in reverse, and whn I start inthat way say me no 80-cable ide detected or some like that, I change it time a go to the correct by a sugestion of a friend ;).
