Took my battery out, now what?
If you have put your battery back in again you can enter into the BIOS setup, load the defaults, make any customisations you want, redetect the hard disks and make sure the floppy disk settings are correct (I advise disabling the Floppy Mode 3 option if present), check your date and time, then exit the BIOS and save the settings, and then your BIOS settings are back to normal and you should be able to boot again off your hard disk.
Any data that you have on any disks should still be there - taking out the battery does not cause the PC to lose data stored on disks.
