Hi,
I just tried to install a 120GB disk to a Siemens Fujutsu T-Bird PC, however the biso has the 32GB limit to the PC hangs during identification of the disk.
I want to upgrade the BIOS but cannot find an upgrade anywhere. Can anyone ponit me in the right direction?
I used ctbios to identify the motherboard and bios version. It tells me that the motherboard is from BIOSTAR and the Board/bios version is VBE-A1013A.
The Award ID String is: 10/13/1999-693A-596-8671-2A6LGB09C-00
The chipset is VIA Apollo Pro Plus (692/596)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Keith

A patched version of the BIOS exists at the "tested" link in my signature.
Remember:
- as always, you flash at your own risk.
- note CMOS settings if necessary and clear CMOS after/during flashing, as this is a later version of the BIOS than you are currently using.
- you may find that you have to set the UDMA mode of your disk drive down to UDMA 33 using the manufacturer's utility.
