Again, it's not a flash ROM issue.

Is there any better POST Card/Diagnostic Card than the regular ones sold? I mean, one that tells us what specific mainboard component is failing?

I would be willing to invest in such diagnostic card if there is one.

I have not bought one; there does not seem to be one that will effectively take over a dead machine and (e.g.) reflash the BIOS.
http://www.protechdiagnostics.com/toolstarpci.htm is on offer at $399 and claims to do more than a simple POST card but I would ask to speak to someone who bought one before I laid out that money.
http://www.uxd.com/phdpci.shtml also claims great things.
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.

Thanks NickS.

That P.H.D. PCI sounds like the ultimate in mainboard dignostics. Looks like the answer to my problem how to determine which component prevented my board from executing bootblock, as can be seen in the features in these links:

http://www.uxd.com/phdpcifeatures.shtml

http://www.uxd.com/phdpci2.shtml

And if it's true that this card could boot any dead system even without BIOS, I would be impressed. My current success rate in fixing dead mobos is 9 out of 10, and this card might just be the missing link.

Has anyone tried this card?

Have you tried flashing it with the ECS P6SET-ML bios? Same board as M741LMRT. You may need to use a universal flash utility to do it.
