I was recently given a Compaq Presario notebook (see info below). :? I have flashed it to the latest BIOS (ROMPaq) from the HP website. The website notes it as: F.0D (05/31/01). The problem is that there is crap all in the BIOS as far as configuration. I'm not kidding, I can set the date/time, amount of shared memory the graphics card uses, boot device order, and that's it!

Does anyone know if there is something further I can do with the BIOS? Can I modify/hack it, more specifically, can someone else?

Compaq Presario
Model: 1201T (on base of display)
12XL4 (on bottom of notebook)
CTO model 1200T-XL5 (from chat with HP)
BIOS: PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.0
BIOS Version: 0F0D

Note: The floppy on this notebook does not work. I've tried everything except replacing it. I don't know if a USB floppy would work. I have to create a CD with floppy emulation if I'm going to flash anything.
