While I was trying to upgrade my P-III 500Mhz I found that the BIOS (Award) is not accepting 40GB HDD or higher. I like to upgrade the BIOS. My MoBo details are -
Mother board - Kobian Mercury mother board KOB ZX AT

BIOS ID - 04/19/1999-I440ZX-W977TF-2A69KSHCC-00.

BIOS Manufacturer ID is SH – SYE (Shining Yuan Enterprise Co)

Award Modular BIOS version v4.51PG

Please suggest where will I get the patch.

Long shot:

Luckytech (SYE) P6ZX3
1 AGP, 3 PCI, 2 ISA slots
Onboard ESS 1869 sound

If the above is correct, please check your PCB version: 1.3, 1.4 (Rev.B), 1.5 (Rev.C), or 1.7 (Rev.D). Although I believe you have Rev.C (1.5): http://y2k.nstl.com/asp/companyInfo_include.asp?id=341

If all of the above is correct, then there is a beta-patched BIOS for your board here: http://wims.rainbow-software.org/edwin/

Yes my PC shows Intel 440ZX P6ZX3 Bios Rev:C. And 1 AGP, 3 PCI, 2 ISA slots is correct. But there is no onboard sound.

What can be done then ?
