hi. am trying to access the bios without luck. it's a 486 sx bios v1.2r4.

If it's Phoenix BIOS, try Ctrl+Alt+ESC or Ctrl+Alt+S.
The Compaq system probably reequires "F10 Utility" to be installed on the HDD (should be available on Compaq site), then use F10 to enter it.
