Hi,
My 160 Gb western digital is recognized as 131 Gb.
Bios id: 02/26/2001-8363-686A-6A62MAWCC-00
Can the problem be solved withouth returning the disk?

Where is is recognized as 131? In the bios? In windows? Have you checked if it has a capacity-limit jumper removed?
