Hi,

I tried to use the Unicore utility to get the Bios ID. Put on the old PC is only Win95 running and the program crashs.
EDIT: (I used Award BIN Edit)
Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
10/08/96-VT82C570M-2A5L9F09C-00
Version 4.09G800a
2A5L9F09
EDIT OFF

I have problems with the Bios and a 80 GByte Harddisk:
AWARD VT82C570M-2A5L9F09C
Chip: SST 29EE010/5V

I have done a backup wit awd822.exe and a Boot disk (size ~384KB).

Looks not the right file with awd822.exe. I found an Update Bios:
ftp://ftp.fic.com.tw/motherboard/bios/s ... 00g800.awd
Just Flashed it 30sec before. It looks working.
But the 8,4GByte Limit is still inside...

Can somebody help?

THX

Your BIOS can't be patched:
INT13h Extensions...Not present
Code not found: BIOS does not support HDDs up to 32GB!
Try this flasher:
http://kuriaki.myftp.org:8245/Archives/ ... lash50.exe
More than 100,000 BIOS strings in my database just now!

Probably you will have no sucess but sometimes I think it is still worth e-mailing the manufacturer and asking if they have a BIOS update that will recognise at least up to 32GB. Sometimes there may be images that for some reason are not posted on the site.

If a BIOS image supports 32GB or more, it can be patched first to 64GB and then 128GB.
