I have a A7N8X-LA Motherboard with dead BIOS from a wrong flash. Can I use my A7V266-E motherboard that also has the PLCC Bios chip to reflash my bios for the A7N8X-LA? Is this possible? the A7V266-E motherboard uses the VIA chipset and the dead MB uses the NForce2 chipset.

Check chip versions must be the same type (You dont flash normal flash chip in Firmware Hub or Low voltage board)
29F... ,49F... ,39F... <-Normal Flash
49LF... and maby others<-firmware hub chip (I think in Your board is Normal flash based, this chip type is used for intel based mainboards) (But not all)
29LV... ,39LV..., 49LV... <-low voltage. (But not all)
Best way to find chip type is find datasheet.

And answer: YES if this same type, but use Award flasher for A7V266-E.
(If dont work try another Award flasher, if this way is bad try Unifalsh).

Good Luck
