PLEASE HELP! Need Bios update for gateway solo 9150 -New HD

I purchased a 80gb hard drive a few days ago, and my bios will not recognize it at all, i have gone to gateway for help, esuppot, and nothing. i know there has to be a bios update out there, or a bios update that is compatible with my computer. i have looked everywhere, i have never had a problem quite like this before, so im open to ideas.
