Hallo!

A friend of mind got a PC from his colleague.

Now we tried to setup a new Windows XP, but it isn't possible, because we can not change the boot sequence in the BIOS to CD-ROM because the BIOS asked for a password, immediatly after entering the BIOS.

I also tried to start the PC with a old Bootdisk and then to run the XP-Install-CD from DOS-Commandline, but "This Program cannot be run in DOS Mode!"

Is there any chance to change or reset the Pass, i know, the pass is made for this, but else we can throw the PC to the garbage..

BIOS:

Award Modular BIOS v4.51PGM
09/06/1999-i440ZX-ITE867-2A69KH2BC-00
Its is a Siemens PC, P3, 500MHz

Thank you a lot for any idea!!

Your friend will have to ask his collegue for the password. There should be a clear password-jumper somewhere in the machine but we first need the model/series of that PC.
