Hi to all, I need your support: my motherboard, a Soyo SY-6KBE can't recognize the 60Gb Hard disk, a WD600. I updated the BIOS to the BE-1A9, but without any good result. Can anybody post a patched BIOS or tell me what to do, please?
Thanks in advance!

Are you sure your Bios-ID belongs to a SY-6KBE ?
Looks more like a SY-6BB, 6BE or 6BE+ motherboard. Please check what's printed onto your motherboard !
SY-6KBE should be i440LX-based, not i440BX-based.

i assume that the bios hangs on detecting the hdd, right? use the clip jumper to restrict the size of the hdd to 32GB (check the hdd's manual). windows xp will recognize the full size of the hdd anyhow because it doesn't rely on bogus bios information (thank god...at least one thing they learned from W9x).
An untested patched BIOS (Soyo SY-6BE).zip is available for testing at the "untested" link in my signature. If you decide to use it, please give us feedback.
