Flashed MSI motherboard - needs boot record help!

I flashed my mates motherboard using MSI auto update because he deleted his sound driver by accident, i knew what the sound driver was (RealTec A97) something along those lines...... anyway tryed to reinstall sound driver but failed so i decided to flash his motherboard to fix it. As i said i flashed it using MSI auto update and restarted and all i get is that its asking for a boot record but i can get into bios settings so weather or not the flash worked i dont know any help would be much appricated :)

Did you flash bios because a missing WINDOWS-driver ??
Whats the status right now, can you boot the pc ok ?

i managed 2 sort it out by reflashing it, took a while to find the right setting but i got it to work.
Thanks for replying, sure it would of helped if i screwed it up again :P
