I applied the BIOS using the Asus Updater and it worked a treat. In fact, combining the new BIOS with the SiS UGA 3.0 update, I was able to get my screen resolution up to 1680x1050. And with the new BIOS, the computer seems to run a hell of a lot better. Can't thank you enough for your help.

Asus A7SC with a SiS 740 Driver. Unable to use a widescreen display. Can you send me the patched bios version?
Thanx in advance,

Man,
I can't thank you enough. I'm working here on a friends pc and I feared a long night ahead of me. But thanx to your quick reply and working BIOS, you saved my ass! I owe you one!
Keep up the good work.
MG.

Hi,
I also have exactly the same problem. Same mobo+chipset+monitor res. Weird thing that this motherboard is unknown on the asus website. (a7sc)
I also can't find any location where i can download the bios... all links are dead.
can you help me? please?
thanks!

If you email me include [WIMSBIOS] in the subject.
check your manual. the A7SC doesn't exist. not even at ASUS. the A7SC is a barebone from the Terminator T/2 series made by ASUS and is infact a Terminator K7DDR. it should look something like this: http://baku.homeunix.net/PC/TerminatorK7DDR/
and the bios string should tell the model, too.
