Hi all

I'm experiencing a problem with my recently purchased SyncMaster- 943NW 19", whose native resolution is 1400x900. My resolution is not widescreen.

My PC has SG71 (SIS 651-962L)1.0 motherboard and on board video card (SiS 650_651_M650_M652_740). I have installed latest version of video driver (uvga3_373)but I could not update motherboard bios.

BIOS type: Phoenix-Award BIOS v6.00PG
BIOS ID: 03/28/2003-SiS-651-6A6IXA1DC-DT
BIOS sign on: None
BIOS date: 2003.03.28
Chipset: SiS 651 rev 2
SuperIO chipset: ITE 8705/SiS 950 rev 2 at port 002E

the latest bios link:http://file.abit.com.tw/pub/download//fae//sg71dt.exe
Can anyone else help me?
Thanks!

Hi, folks!

I recently bought a 19" Acer widescreen with 1440x900 resolution. I have a SIS 650_651_m650_m652_740 on board video card witch is not widescreen.
What must I do to have the righ resolution?
I thought I just needed to update the video card driver, but after seen this post I reall didn't know what to do.
Please, help me. I'm just a rookie for these things!...LOL

- May I have to update the BIOS too, or just the video card driver?
- How can I discover the right drivers to solve my problem?

Thanks since now!!

you need an updated bios. First we need to know what make and model your motherboard is.
