Dell has never released a BIOS update for the Dimension B110/1100.

I'm hoping there's some hidden settings in the BIOS that can squeeze a bit more performance out of it. It doesn't matter what sort of optical drive is installed (the original DVD burner was VERY horrid) it's nearly impossible to do anything else while burning a disc, it sucks up so much CPU time, even though it has a 2.53Ghz Celeron 325.

I'd like to put a Prescott core P4 in it, or newer if it can take it. (Socket 478 CPU = cheap!) It came with PC3200 RAM, but the celery is only pushing it along at 166Mhz.

I put a PCI GeForce 5500 in it, helped some getting video out of main RAM, but it still doesn't go as good as it should.
