Hi,
i have a WINFAST K7S741 Mainboard... i think its now foxconn. The orginial Bios on the board was 426WP234, i flashed the 426W1P45 Bios. but without Widescreen support.... a physical resolution higher 1024*768 isnt possible... the driver makes also a virtual Resolution....
then i flashed the 426w1p45 that was linked in your downloadcenter..... but they crashed with a "BIOS ROM checksum error" at the Emergeny Bootblock Loader so i must reflash with a bootdisk...
The 2 Biosversions @ the foxconn Website works for me on this motherboard
Thanks
Marc

Same here. I was trying to install a 17" LCD screen to a PC with Winfast K7S 741MG. Both flashes from the FoxConn Website worked just fine, but the Bios version I got from the download page here just crashed the bios and I had to reflash to a FoxConn version (which doesn't work with 1440x900 resolution).2malposter wrote:Hi,

Does anyone know what's happening? I went thru all the steps you guys explained at the Sticky in this Forum (All SIS IGP issues: READ THIS FIRST), but it really didn't work out... will I need another MoBo?
tks in advance!

ok... i connect my CRT Monitor now with a fully connected D-SUB Cable (befor it was a RGB BNC-Cable). Now higher resolutions (e.g. 1600x1200)are possible...but with 1680x1050 i get a black screen... i think this is what we all here need....

Hi again,
i flashed your Version and the mobo is booting... great
Now I can switch to the 1440x900 and the 1680x1050 Resolution an I see the desktop and on my CRT (not a blackscreen)... Next week I connect a Widescreen LCD on it.... then you get an aswer about the right resolution, but I think its the right one...
many thanks

you are welcome and thank you for the feedback :)
i didn't check the widescreen resolutions the new SIS video bios adds but 1440x900 and 1680x1050 are known working resolutions. please note that other resolutions like 1360x768 will not work with SIS' windows driver. but you can still use Linux with its 3rd party driver which can set virtually any resolution you want.

If you email me include [WIMSBIOS] in the subject.
