Anyone know who made the motherboard for this model? And if there's a real BIOS for it? TIA.

There's probably no real bios for it and you should post this at the motherboards.org forums as they have a Compaq tech in the moderators group (Hardware Junkie)

As for a "real" BIOS you most like ly will kill the motherboard if you flash it with an regular BIOS.... Meaning the Compaq BIOS is specifically set up for Compaq. A BIOS flash is not reccomended.

For more info please visit www.mobokive.com There is an extensive database on motherboards (w/ an ever increasing Compaq info)

The BWM Motherboard series is a mystery for me. I have no idea what product line it came from.
The best BIOS you can use is the RomPaq updates that Compaq releases.

This board is the BMW-R board. It has been identified as an OEM version of the Mitac 6513WU

of coarse the stnadard warning pertains with upgrading the BIOS. YOU DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK
