Hi,

i got the same problem as a couple of other people, i presume. I bought
a Via P4 p047 with a p4 1.7Ghz (used, i presume (on ebay)), after starting the computer, it counts the ram, identifies the cpu, and then turns to a black screen with a flashing cursor ( _ ). I loaded the defaults setting to the bios, because i got a message like "warning! cpu has been changed. go to the bios and make changes."

can someone help?

thanx

what the heck should i do now? i have no idea what to enter in the cmos (i even dont know what the cmos is!

Something like "Press DEL to enter SETUP" should be displayed on the screen. Do it.

this looks like a dead-end. at least, the floppy is still working.
