Issue with motherboard

Hi,my PC was working fine for good for the last 5 months. but one day, all of a sudden, there was power shortage in my area. Then after sometime, when i tried to turn the pc on, it wont turn on. i thought, i have to change the power supply, but even after that, it didn't turn on, So i'm guessing that my motherboard is not working, so should i purchase a new one?

Very well possible the motherboard was fried. I take it you don't have insurance where you can have them find out what was fried and have it replaced?
