unknown flash type (Soyo Sy-5bt5)

I've upgraded the bios to a larg disk patched one,
Soyo 5bt5 02/04/1999-i430TX-W977-2A59IS2BC-00
I got it flashed but when booting I keep getting the "unknown flash type" error message and Windows 98 seems to be reinstalling the drivers of my hardware on every cold boot.

1. yes I made sure its 1.1 revision
2. yes I did clear my cmos and restored bios default settings afterwards...


Any idea how to fix this issue?
