Hello,
I've bought a Western Digital 80GB harddisc and the BIOS didn't recognize it. Than I've flashed the BIOS but the problem still exists. I flashed my BIOS with the BX2000 f9. Is it possible that there is bug?
Thank you

The F9 GigaByte GA-BX2000 BIOS should support HDDs at least up to 128GB. Make sure that the drive is connected and jumpered correctly, then use IDE HDD AUTO DETECTION feature in BIOS SETUP.

I am sure that it is connected and jumpered correctly but the IDE HDD AUTO DETECTION crashs if the 80GB HDD is connected

Is it detected with 32GB clip installed ?
Just to make sure the cables and jumpers are OK .
Standard 40wire cable or 80wire UDMA66 cable used ?
