BCM/GVC motherboard What model??
I have a mobo, I know its a BCM/GVC motherboard, but neither site has a motherboard like mine on it. The bios string is as followed, i440LX-W83977-2A69JG5LC-00 It says it can go up to a 433 Celeron, but I wanted to know model number to see if the jumper settings could go to a 533 celeron. Thanks for any help. Also it came in a Gobi (company that gave you a PC if you bought internet access for like 3 years, they went out of business).
Does your board have Slot 1 or Socket 370? Check the LX and EX chipset based boards at http://www.bcmcom.com/support.htm

It is a Slot 1, Neither of the slot 1 lx boards on there look anything like mine. Mine looks more like the IN440EX but it doesn't have a 440EX chipset it has s 440LX chipset and black memory slots instead of white. Everything else looks the same though.
The LX and EX chipsets are the same, so it should be similar board. Celeron 533 should work (not 533A) - you can leave jumpers as they are because most P2/Celeron/P3 CPUs have locked multiplier (multiplier set by jumpers on board is ignored) and FSB frequency is the same - 66MHz.

PPGA Celerons are black with silver metal square. FCPGA are green with small CPU core in the middle (usually blue).
