hello everybody!
my gigabyte board does not recognize my samsung sp4002h hdd as 40gb, but win2k, bios and fdisk say: 32000 mb.
even after i installed the 2.4d beta bios update.
any facts helps ore whatever known about that. if possible, no workaround like the samsung discmanager, please.
thanks alot, frank!
40GB: ga686lx4
The beta 2.4d BIOS:
12/26/2000-i440LX-W977-2A69JG0EC-00
Intel 440LX AGPSet BIOS for 6LX4 V2.4d
supports HDDs up to 128GB. Check jumpers on your HDD - looks like you have the 32GB clipping enabled!

thank you very much!
you were right. after posting my question i took a look at my hdd jumpers and they were forcing a 32gb limitation. my fault.
but thanks for the professional solution and fast reply!
