I am running XP home on a ABIT BH6 BX board and I see that the ISA/PCI bridge is functioning ok via isapnp.sys driver suppplied by MS. I amd running an old 1542B ISA SCSI card and it works fine.

Check your bios setup. Try turning off PNP OS installed. While your inthere check all the other floppy relate parms.

1) Use a eeprom programmer to get a copy of the code or bios flasher to get a copy of the code.

2) Use a hex editor to find the offset/code to change/add and make the modification.

3) Burn a new eeprom, install and test.

37 gig does not equal 40 gig and there fore you do not have full use of the drive. Also, the fact that you can set it to master and it fails a the eide test tells me something is not right. Check the bios parms to see if you have any options to set LBA. This should allow the use of Init13 extemsions...

As Always you can add a PCI EIDE card with onboard bios of all else fails.
