Definitely take the advice of AJZ and identify your board using his tool. According to any source I've seen, Alton only made 2 PCChips motherboards. However, I got burned somewhat because my box said "Alton" and the chipset was a TXpro (not TXpro II)... unfortunately the board turned out to be an M5...

I have a "heads up" and a question. ----- First, the heads up: a motherboard I got from a computer show many years ago stated that Alton was the maker.
