If you cannot detect the 20,5 GB drive with a 1999 Award BIOS I think you have a problem that is not related to the BIOS. May I suggest you re-check the drive jumpers and cables, and try substituting cables, trying only one drive at a time, with the BIOS set to auto-detect the drive.

Best thing would be for you to inspect the board and see whether it bears any markings such as MB320NH. The ID matches the PCPartner BIOS MB320NH in this post but with an earlier date string.

What cables are you using (40/80 core)?
What is connected where on each cable?
How are the drives jumpered?
Does the BIOS self test identify the drive?

Aha. Well, the BIOS ID matches after the date so the BIOS at Oren/AllRound/冠誉 should work - the .BIN file appears to be the same one you would have downloaded from Kuriaki's site.

Does your machine boot? If so, what are the BIOS ID and OEM message? If they are
BIOS Info : 06/03/2004-Springdale-G-6A79A00AC-00
BIOS Message : INTEL A865G/GV/PE VER1.02(20040605)
then it seems you already have the latest/only BIOS.

I seem to have misremembered the M-One BIOS. which is actually 6IA865PE.rar However, the Oren BIOS is: BIOS Info : 06/03/2004-Springdale-G-6A79A00AC-00 BIOS Message : INTEL A865G/GV/PE VER1.02(20040605) so that appears to be the same as Brightking. ACPI/ESCD/PnP data is not stored onto the BIOS chip by the BIOS. It's written into (nv-)CMOS just like the other BIOS settings. CMOS memory is either integrated into the southbridge or the multiIO and powered by the mainboard battery. Denniss is correct. Sometimes it is stored in the BIOS chip. For...

Does it boot?

If so, go back and read the FAQ for posting in this forum, then give us the info specified re. BIOS messages.

If not - information that might help us:

Processor/Socket type? Chipset? No. of PCI slots? AGP slot? ISA slot(s)?
Label on parallel port?
Photo?
