How are Phoeinx BIOSes when it comes to large hardrives?
Do they have 128GB limitations just like most Awards do or do they support 48bit addressing from the start.
The bios in question is 4.0 release 6 (by Intel OEM modified by Dell)

I have the bios hosted on my ftp now:
ftp://sbeaver.no-ip.com:81/EXP_64.rar

This is the downcut 64KB version that is, as far as I know, the exact BIOS that is on my motherboard right now if the bios saving went correctly that is.

I'd say your best bet is drive overlay software. It's probably neither flashable nor patchable. Your probably right. Yes I managed to get that info now from their board.
Still no go with my old bios though but newer ones work.
I might have to find some bioses from other makers instead and try if they work any better as soon as I can get my hands on a few extra 28pin eeproms och eproms

Have, or had really, an IBM ps/2 with an Intel 486 DX2 50MHz (stuck on socket on cpu board).
It has no heatsink but the case was well ventilated.
