Re: Please i need an update for P4S651M

ok, that is a 400MHz bus Celeron. What I meant, that in some cases the CPU can be overclocked, as to run at 533 MHz bus. There a guides around this subject on the web. Look at ECSs site for the motherboards equivalent model and see its CPU support list, should be almost equal to your board. Syntax d...

Re: Please i need an update for P4S651M

@drdiscus, try Combofix and TweakNow RegCleaner and Spybot S&D to get rid of rest of the worms. Not clear from your post if this Celeron is a 533MHz model. I am not very familiar with SiS and Intel combos, but some Celerons 100/400MHz can be tricked into running 133/533 bus. You might read up on tha...

Re: DFI NF4X Inifity, NVRAID update

DFI NF4X Inifity, NVRAID update

Trying to modify bios for a DFI NF4X Infinity, using its 1019/05 BIOS to update its nvraid.rom 4.81 to 5.60. Using awdbedit1.0, replace option. When trying to flash it with the modified bios using awdflash 8.60, it gives Invalid checksum and aborts. Any safe workaround for this, why does it complain...

For others, since EPoX disappeared a while ago, and now the sites are gone, here an alternative site for anyone looking for EPoX BIOSes etc.
The list is most complete I found so far.

I did not find a way to do the update on that board, it had soldered BIOS chip. If there is a way, could be to open up the bios rompaq from compaq, then replace the BIOS image, while it need be modified to correct size, before. The FIC is 256k and compaq is maybe 512k, can't recall. There is a tip h...

I do not know if it is possible, but here is my 5cents. I had a P4B-MX board from a 420vl comp. Was planning to flash it with the latest ASUS bios but I never got around to it as the mobo exhibited memory detect problems long before and I scrapped it. The HP oem board uses an 512K flash chip loaded ...

Inspired by this thread I also tried to update my uwave v1.3 (FIC AZ31) with FIC's own BIOS. Did not work. 1st used the flash73 program and the params as in this thread, it complained something like: this is not new award bios, update ROM BIOS first. So I went for Uniflash instead. It did not recogn...

HP OEM vl420 vs ASUS P4B-MX

If possible, what way would be the the surest approach to attempt a re flash of a HP motherboard, the HP is a vl 420mt, which is based on an ASUS P4B-MX intel 845i board. The issue here is that the hp OEM board comes with an AMI bios, and is likely soldered on, while the original ASUS comes with AWA...
