Re: 01/31/2001-i815E/EP-87X2-6A69RPRCC-00

Re: Need to id my main board
Couldn't find a manufacturer for P3, any chance it could be 2A69KP8AC-00? If it is P8, it would probably be an Azza (Pro Team Computer Corp) motherboard.

Re: P6BAT-ME plz help newbie
Here are some links that would probably help you with your BIOS upgrade. They are from Giga-Byte and SOYO, but they will give you an idea of what is involved. The last link is a BIOS recovery method that explains what to do if things go bad. http://tw.giga-byte.com/english-web/support/procedure1.htm...

Occassionally you will find the version number under a small, round, white quality control sticker, sometimes behind the first ISA slot as well.

Re: m710 or not??
From the information I've seen, the M710 does have the i440LX chipset & according to the specs is only good for 333 MHZ.

Re: MS-6309
Also, the MS-6309 (plain jane) has an ISA slot in the picture, but not mentioned in the specifications (MS-6309 V2.0 does not mention the ISA slot in the specs either). Usually, the version number is printed after the model number on the motherboard, eg. MS-6309 V2.0.

Re: Ms-6309
At the MSI site there are 5 versions of this motherboard listed and of course, it is critical you choose the correct BIOS for your motherboard! If your motherboard is the same as the picture in the previous post, it is likely the MS-6309 Lite (MS-6309 V2.0) or the MS-6309 V2.X (both have the 1 ISA s...

Re: Do I have all the info I need?
A shot in the dark would be an MSI-6309 motherboard. Have a look at the image in the following link to see if it resembles your motherboard. If you look between the last two PCI slots on your board you can confirm whether it is the MS6309 or not. http://iceberg.pchomeworld.com/cgi-win/L3Static/L3Sta...
