I am curious if it's possible to "fix/install" to a motherboard with a bios that has a BIOS Checksum Error? If so, would someone be able to help me do so? I don't have much information about the computer as it was "free, with the I don't know why it doesn't work, guarantee". Upon turning the computer on, it seems to work "ok". I was reading some other sections of the forums for this type of motherboard a1330n and it seems like a lemon from HP in general.
Anyhow, if I had to guess.. someone who shouldn't have been installing a flash update trashed the BIOS or maybe the power went off during the installation. Anyhow, I know how to install a flash update to a working bios but I do not know if it's possible to fix one that's broken without sending it to the manufacturer.
Can someone give me some advice? Also, if this works, I would probably like to try the 3.14 bios verison.
Thank you kindly,
