Hi everybody,

I am trying to install a networkadapter(typhoon, 10/100 Fast ethernet PCI) to my old PC (win95, award).
After installing and reset the win95 startup halts with blinking cursor. Sometimes it works almost, but after changing some configurations the same it halts again.
The manual of the Nadapter says that it is possible that there might be an interrupt problem, due to assignig same number for several devices. In fact the interrupt no 11 is assigned to IRQ holder, too.
Now my question is how to adjust interrupts manualy?
Or is that rather useless?

Thanx to all repliers

Turn off devices that you aren't using to free up IRQs. (ie: COM ports, parallel port, etc.)
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.

IRQ Holder for PCI Steering is OK - this virutal device exist for all PCI IRQs and is used to allow IRQ sharing between PCI devices.

Does W95 support interrupt sharing ? I'm not sure.

Does. Starting with Windows 95 OSR2, it supports almost everything.

Not that the USB support is worth a feather when it comes to connecting a USB printer....
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.

The USB support is a bit weird. It works but there are no drivers for many devices...
