Sorry if this is a well known question.
a 6 month old hp pavilion 6010e CTO desktop with an Asus-oem'ed M2N68-LA had its db25 physically destroyed, not covered by warranty.
An old diamond stealth PCI video card causes "beep beep BEEEEP" which is an unknown beep code.
There are no old-fashioned jumpers. It seems to use a phoenix/award bios. I think the SETUP/ADVANCED screen needs to be tweaked from the internal nvidia to the PCI card.
Catch 22: No Video - I can't see the BIOS screens.
Catch 22a HP won't help
Catch 22b Asus says HP must help
I keep trying to blindly change the SETUP, to avoid a repair more expensive then a new DELL.
Turn it on. hit F10 a few times. Then ESC from the SAVE&EXIT screen
Right to ADVANCED. Down to VIDEO. ENTER. UP UP ENTER. F10 to SAVE&EXIT, ENTER.
Anybody got a clue as to the keyboard map of Award BIOS?
