Hi, I have a 'noname' notebook [actually the name on the front is i-View, but cannot find any traces of such a manufacturer]. It has an AMD processor manufactured in 2000. My problem is with VGA - having just reinstalled a new OS [Win2K], the most I can get is 16 colours!

There should be a sticker on the underside of the notebook which should resemble a model number...
Otherwise, you might want to temporarily remove the keyboard and look for a graphics processor...

Using the Everest utility should be able to identify all the components for you it may even have a link to the downloads , the home edition is freeware
