Dead Bios on Sony PCG-GR215MP

After downloading an updated bios from the Sony webpage the bios now will not boot the laptop. Any ideas guys nd gals? Please
I have asked Sony but to date no reply. Maybe they are still laughing.

This laptop is not very old, if it is still under warranty call Sony and tell them it did not want to turn on one day.

Otherwise you'll have an expensive paperweight at your disposal. You'll need high tech equipment to remove and re-program the BIOS.

Thanks for the reply.
I was under the impression that the bios chip is removable? If it is a fitted chip then I think you may be right.
The machine is still under warranty but it seems to be very hard to get Sony to respond to the e.mails and faxes that I have sent them.

I know that on the Fxxx series vaios the BIOS EEPROM is removable, but I have not found another series that is removable.

I may be wrong.. but from the list of available replacement parts that I have, the BIOS chip is not an available option (as it is for the Fxxx)

Call Sony.
