Well,
I found the bios by surfing on these forums. I don't know if it's an update or not. But want to give it a try.

I don't know how to create a start up disk like the readme stats. Can someone please help.
Thanks

I created a boot disk using drflash disk
Copied the files from the bios download onto it. I replaced the autoexec.bat from the drflash with the bios download provided.
Restart the laptop with the disk in.
The KAPOK (R) FLASH BIOS Programmer . Version 1.44 - starts
says:
Model number : 220C
Flash memory : AMIC A29002T
BIOS file is loading ...23t11023.bin
BIOS file checksum :0AB3H
Pres ESC to cancel, any key to continue...
"I hit any key"
Erasing... 256KB OK
Programming ... 2556KB OK
It is now safe to turn off your computer. A:\>
Restart the laptop... same old bios I had before loads up... I hit the key to edit the bios config.
Same old Bios loads:
Version Info:
SystemSoft Corporation for 630/540 chipset
BIOS Version: 1.00.03 Date 10/22/97

What am I doing wrong? Why can't I replace the old bios with the downloaded one?
