Trying to connect a new digital camera to an old computer. Not quite working. Mobo has a 1x8 USB pinout. I attached cablestogo.com 13403 mobo cable and we now have two USB ports.

I checked out usbman.com and I think the 13403 requires BIOS USB support ? If so, how do I know if my BIOS supports USB? "USB Keyboard" (currently enabled) is the only BIOS setting that sounds relevant. Do PCI USB cards require BIOS USB support (I saw two different opinions on that in the forums)?

i430TX should support USB1.1 without problems - maybe a cable/pinout problem if it's a cable connected to internal mainboard ports .

Motherboard Bios does not have to support Bios if you are using a PCI card - just make sure the PCI card does not require PCI-2.2 as your board should have PCI-2.1 standard
