Could you help me identify this M/B please? So far I seem to have found this is an intel chipset i810 based M/B. Possible mfg: PCChips/Amptron/?. But none of them seem to provide any info about this PSKBM1 v1.6A motherboard on their website.
Also this M/B seems to keep rebooting every few minutes under any flavor os Linux (Knoppix/Ubuntu/FC3), but is stable under DOS/DrDOS. I have tried reseating & replacing the memory, new CMOS battery and any number of attempts at BIOS settings, etc. I have not replaced the Power Supply yet. Google searches suggested a BIOS related problem, besides bad mother board, CPU or P/S. I would really like to try the BIOS upgrade (if one is available) before giving up on this one. Trying to find a replacement P/S seems to be a dwindling prospect.
Thanks
JMB

Maybe it's a "PC World Special" machine.jmb365 wrote:Could you help me identify this M/B please? So far I seem to have found this is an intel chipset i810 based M/B. Possible mfg: PCChips/Amptron/?. But none of them seem to provide any info about this PSKBM1 v1.6A motherboard on their website.
A lot of vendors has manufactured BKI810 based machines in the past.
More than 100,000 BIOS strings in my database just now!

Check for bulging capacitors on the board.
