Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
206A010E
I need to know if I can get an update for this motherboard. I bought it off of Ebay last year and the m/b says it is a Microstar MS-6578. There is nothing on the MS site about this board, and even calling their tech support. I think it OEM'd for NEC since the logo screen b4 the BIOS screen says NEC.
Need to know where I can find info about this board.
Thanks,
Gaz.

Please tell us what your W6578xxx code is !
-> You'll find it as Award OEM Signon or Bios Eval or whatever it's called.
CTBIOS or Aida32/Everest should help.
Do not try to flash a MSI Retail Bios over an OEM Bios !

Can you post complete BIOS Agent report?

Only MSI board I've found so far with the nVidia 420D chipset is the K7N420 PRO (MS-6373). How does this picture compare?

It's an OEM board from Microstar.gazarama wrote: BIOS ID: 04/03/2002-nForce-420D-6A61AM4DC-00

But the OEM Sign-On is unknown to me.

Actually, that's pretty close to the layout of my mobo. I looked up the BIOS updates for that board, but am reluctant to download and flash it since the current BIOS version is 6.00.zonxar wrote:Only MSI board I've found so far with the nVidia 420D chipset is the K7N420 PRO (MS-6373). And there is another board that has the Nvidia 420D chipset, and I have it (albeit dead!). It is another OEM board and the model number is MS-6367. It was built for the HP 761n Pavilion Desktop.
I believe that my board came out of a Japanese NEC Valuestar machine. But any attempts to find info/downloads fail, since I can only find sites in Japanese relating to this (and I can't read Japanese!!)
Looks like I may have to stop searching and give up on any updates.
