Hi guys. This page looks like the best one I have found yet. I am really stumped as to what my laptop is, like SERIOUSLY I have no idea anymore. I purchased it from a local college student who has since moved away. He had a messy hard drive and I didnt feel like cleaning it so I just wiped it and put Win2K on it. After running into a bunch of kernel stop errors I gave up on 2K and popped 98 back on there. Thats the history of the thing anyways,

As for finding out what it is, I sent an email to the HyperData company and they have no idea what it is and deny building this model. It has a big plastic sticker on the top that says HyperData, and on the bottom model 1100 type 1200T. There are Computron warrenty stickers all over it, but nor did I get a responce from them about it.

The laptop so far (as far as I can tell) is a Pentium 1 233mhz with MMX, 64 MB ram (2 x 32mb sticks, only one tagged by computron), 2.1GB (NEC I think) hard drive, Sanyo NiMH battery, NeoMagic MagicGraph 128XD (thats what windows says) 2mb graphics, came with OEM windows that I wiped, has 2 PCMCIA slots, Parallal, Com, Monitor, TV out, docking, headphone and mic, and a PS/2 port that has a picture of a keyboard and a mouse with a / in it (tested mouse and keyboard, got neither working). It has PhoenixBIOS NoteBIOS 4.05 (4.05 1.06 is displayed on bootup, couldnt get anything else out of it). CD Rom has a floppy built into (or under, rather) it.

Other specs I notices via windows: Cirrus Logic PCIC compatable PCI to PCMCIA bridge, Toshiba XM-1702B (24X i believe) CD ROM, ES1878 Control Interfface and Plug and Play AudioDrive.

It also has a small LCD screen and a mouse pad and 2 buttons on the top.

I have taken as many pictures as I possible can for the time being (I have a tech from my ISP comming to put in a new cable line within the next few hrs and I wanted to get this on first). I do have a digital camera, and can take pictures of the inside (even though its an ultra pain in the arse with this laptop)

PS: I have already modded this baby a bit. It had some kind of thermal fabric on a heatsink (was upside down in my mind but built like that) with a small fan that sucks air from cpu fins and blows it out a small hole on the side. This was modded, the fabric crap was cleaned off, the heatsink was placed the way it looked right to me with some thermal paste, and then snapped back into the fan and it runs a lot cooler. #2 mod was the CMOS battery was dead, an attempt to recover it was made and 2 attempts to replace. The first attempt didnt work but the second did (I took 2 solid copper wires, curved longer pieces and soldiered to each side of a normal motherboard battery, soldiered to contacts on board, took the corner of a static bag, put battery in, sealed it as well as I could and put it in a safe place where it wouldnt get damaged, and it has been working fine for 3 days of lots of use.)

Any other help on this would be GREATLY aprecieated, if anyone could find me a bios update, drivers, manual for what can be upgraded to what, it would help me out ALOT! Money isnt a serious problem but this laptop does well for what I do with it currently (light C++ and Q programming) and I'd rather know what I can put in it to upgrade for cheap rather then buying another laptop.

Ok I found a total info page, Apparently its the 1200L even though mine says 1200T. It has the same baseplate, layout, etc. Thanks a ton, I thought this would take weeks, looks like it only took an evening :D

The "T" in 1200T might simply mean the TFT version of the screen.
