As far as I know all the microcodes are in a BIOS module called CPUCODE.BIN and up until the last version of my mobo BIOS I was able to extract this module an replace some microcodes with newer versions from other BIOSes.
But with the latest BIOS version this module is gone...
ctmc.exe is able to detect one microcode in the new BIOS version, but when I extract all modules with Award BIOS Editor und use ctmc.exe on all of the extracted modules it doesn't find even this one.
If you take a look in the BIOS history one change is updated microcodes... but where are they gone???
Is there a new format for microcodes?
I hope someone can shed some light on this.
PS: All modules are around the same size except awardeyt.rom... its 30k bigger in the new BIOS.
