Hi!
I updated my bios of Asus X73SJ (k73sj mainboard) and something went wrong, my laptop don`t start (no image on screen , just all leds ON). I went at service to rewrite bios but I encountered a problem: the programmer need bin or rom file to write and file format for asus bios file is other than bin or rom (extension of file is bios version ex. .202). The question is : how can i convert asus bios file to .bin? or how can i write correctly asus bios file to flash
Thanks in advance
Asus X73SJ bios update failed

rename the file to .bin instead of the .202 and try again. The bios file is an EFI bios, I don't know if any extra safety measures are in place to prevent direct writing of the bios. If you still have warranty, better bring the laptop to a certified Asus service center.

it is a new bios with EFI inside. I fear it is in your best interest to contact Asus with this matter. Make sure you have the original receipt of purchase so they can help you.

Right... Well the .202 file is the actual bios file so your flash service guy should be able to flash the chip with it.

Now I have my personal EEPROM programmer so i can test different version but no version start my laptop. Same result:when i plug ac adapter laptop start itself (power led on, no fan or other sign of starting) .
The 2 remaining option is:
1.bios file is 2.6M and bios chip is 4M(winbond 25Q32BV) - eeprom programmer start reflashing from adress 00 .Someone know if is another starter adress for reflashing (not from 00)?
2. less probable but maybe some other component failed
PS: if someone have similar laptop and want to help me with a full dump bios pls give me a sign
