The details are as follows:
BIOS Type: Phoenix
BIOS Date: Unknown
BIOS ID: P09RAP
BIOS OEM: P09RAP
Chipset: Unknown
SuperIO: Unknown
Manufacturer: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.
Motherboard: 300E4C/300E5C/300E7C

Hope someone can help me out with this problem. I'd certainly like to get the bios updated so it's working right. At the moment I have no boot menu and I need to update it to get that working.
Thanks very much.

Samsung tell me they no longer supply a bios update for the laptop. The laptop is a bit on the ancient side. This site https://drivers.softpedia.com seems to have a list of bios updates but I have no idea which, if any, is the correct one. I have the correct flashing utility but it's just getting my hands on this file that's the problem. Ta

What exactly do you mean with no boot menu? If you power on the laptop it is not showing anything? Because that means some part of the hardware is not cooperating, a bios upgrade is not going to help there. I would say, try and replace the bios backup battery first before starting to flash the bios.

I've got BiosAgentPlus handling the issue now Edwin thanks.

The laptop boots fine,no problem. It's if I go into the bios and look to boot from a usb stick for instance, that wont be there. The only thing I have is the Windows Boot Manager at No 1.

Thanks all the same

Haven't heard back from BiosAgentPlus. Can I flash only the bios to fix this problem with the boot menu option.
I don't seem to be getting a lot of assistance with this. Can I use a previous version of the bios to get it back to normal. On the bios agent site they seem to have supplied me with the previous version. So would that be ok to use?

What do you mean with the previous version? The P09RAP 1/11/2013 version? That should be safe to use as far as I am concerned because it was made for it. As for getting the boot menu, I am still trying to find out if that is some "hidden" option, some bioses have advanced options that are only visible after using a key combo like Alt-F1 or similar. Not finding yours yet.
