Hello
I'm trying to install a 80GB Samsung SP8004H, 7200rpm, but it doesn't work.
BIOS INFO:
BIOS ID: 2A5LED4GC
BIOS type: Award Modular BIOS v.$.51PG
BIOS signon: 04/12/2000-VP3-596B-DD-2A5LED4GC-00
Chipset: VIA82C598 rev 4
the hard drive is listed when booting, but i can't access it from windows or DOS.
I think the problem is this 32GB-thing I read about here, but I'm not sure because I'm a little confused about the jumpers
please help

DFI boards are well-identified. Check your motherboard for a silkscreened inscription and then look for a BIOS update here:

Newer Bios might be on the DFI Beta Site

Otherwise please tell us the model number and revision number/letter you found and we'll send you a patched Bios

There's nothing wrong with your BIOS. It supports HDDs up to 128GB. You need to partition (FDISK) and format the new drive.fungusB wrote:the hard drive is listed when booting, but i can't access it from windows or DOS.
