Dead HP ze4325US after BIOS Flash

:?: I have an HP model "ZE4325US" laptop that was flashed with the wrong BIOS (provided by HP) and now only flashes its lights and turns off after about 1 second. I read something about a bootblock and somehow fixing it? Please if someone could tell me what I need to do so I dont need to spend $400 for a new mainboard!

I am bumping this ancient thread because the exact same scenerio just turned my laptop into a paperweight.

HP refuses to accept responsibility for the problem, and I would like to find other people that this has happened to.

Yes. The bios and utility provided for this model by HP on their own website causes it to fail.
