Hello to everyone,
I was wondering if any of you guys on here could help me out with a problem I have been having today.
I was given a laptop by a friend to take a look at this morning, she say's she left it updating, turned it off and now when you turn it on nothing happens at all, the power light comes on along with some others as normal then the machine cuts out and attempts to reboot again and again. The bios doesn't even post and the lcd screen stays black the whole time.
From what I have read it seems this is normal behaviour for a bad flash, my question is I have what I believe to be the latest bios for this model (ZK3_3222.WPH) is there a way to flash this file using a usb stick and holding down fn+esc for few seconds while powering on.
If so what additional files do I need ?
Thank You
Acer Aspire 6530

If this is one with nVidia G8x00 graphics there's a good chance the graphics chip has died. If so it is cheaper to buy a new one than to replace the motherboard.
