Acer 1520 bios Help!!!!!!

Hi,
I have an Acer 1520 (1524WLMi) with the following prob:

After flashing with 1.15 through windows the laptop did restart but after this screen was black....i think vga bios was #$% up

I have changed DIP switch 2 to on and tried the Esc+FN combo , disk drives looks like reading for a while,( approx 1 min) but no beeps
Shouldnt start beepin if flashing happens ? . Any ideas ?

P.S.
I tried removing one dimm and left with 256 MB but didnt change anything too
The file that i copied/renamed in my crisis disk is EXTV109.WPH renamed to bios.wph (located at discrete folder) and size is 514 KB. Is this correct ?

hello i have similar problem with this model, i have tried everything i found but pc just beep once and try to acces fdd for about 10seconsd and nothing.. any help plz i am in despair cause of this machine

Download this crisis disk:

Unzip this, put a formatted 1,44MB (not 720k) floppy disk in a USB Floppy drive and run crisis.exe (make sure "Writing on Floppy" is the only thing selected and click OK). This creates a disk with three files on it (one hidden), delete the one called BIOS.WPH

Then get the 1.14 bios:

Unzip this, and find the file called EXTV114.WPH (look in the DOS\Discrete subdirectory). Copy this file to the floppy disk and rename it to BIOS.WPH

Unplug the power lead and take out battery from laptop.

Switch both dipswitches (1 and 2) underneath the keyboard on - use the piture guide here:

Attach USB floppy drive to the laptop, press and Hold “Fn” and “Esc” buttons together, then while holding down the buttons, plug in AC and turn on computer. You should still be holding “Fn” and “Esc”. The USB floppy drive indicator light should light up and access the crisis disk. The laptop should soon start beeping like crazy.

Don’t turn off the computer. This will go on for 2-5 minutes, so let it beep until it stops and then half a minute.

Unplug the power and switch the two dipswitches under the keyboard back to off.

Reconnect battery and turn the machine on. This should work.
