Installing 1T WD drive in Clevo M570A; Phoenix Net Bios Release 6.1 Bios Revision 1.06.04sc; KBC/EC Firmware Revison 1.00.05 S; Intel M Processor 2.00 Ghz. Wim's Bios Agent says bios update available but lists manufacturer as Midern M570A; Phoenix Bios date 02/22/06; Bios ID: SONOMA01.86C.0052.D.0602221044; Chipset Inter 2590 rev 4. WD says it is the bios; M-tech now says that a bios update is not available.
Where is the bios update and how can I get it?
Will the update proposed actually work on this laptop?
Will the bios support 1T drive?
Will the drive run too hot for laptop as M-Tech suggests?

Your bios string is reported on a Clevo M40AE/M560A/M570A
Midern is most likely a relabel company, inside there is still the Clevo laptop, possibly with some customization.
You say M-Tech is not giving you the option of a bios update, what M-Tech model is this?
