Hi,

I just bougth a Seagate Barracude ATA IV 80 GB (model ST380021A) harddisk to replace my crashed 15,3GB IBM.

The problem is I cannot get this drive to work on my ASUS TX97-X with the latest beta-bios. I tried the drive overlay software from Seagate but no succes.

Does anybody have any hints...?

Does there exist a BIOS that supports harddrives of the size?

thanks in advance,

That BIOS is patched only up to 64GB. Will send you new patched version up to 128GB.

I've mailt it to rainbow before:

i flashed the bios and everything is fine now. an updating report i'll give in a few weeks.

my old bios was from bios.rom.by/Asus/index.htm
with this one i was able to boot (the standard bios freezes) and then to install ez-bios.
